Mindless excuses for not having known about the events of September 11th in advance to prevent them have been relinquished upon the media by Condoleezza Rice, John Ashcroft, Donald Rumsfeld, Vice President Dick Cheney and the President in hopes of whisking away any hint of incompetence—mostly attributing it to "intelligence failures" within the CIA and FBI.
The sad fact of the matter is that the FBI was onto the hijackers and "al Qaeda chatter" that was circulating throughout the intelligence community in the year prior to 9/11, and tried to do something about it. Met with orders from on-high to halt surveillance and pursuance of these suspects, the FBI's hands were tied as the events that they had partly taken the blame for failing to prevent took place.
Aside from investigations by the FBI, numerous foreign intelligence agencies alerted the White House and Pentagon of the impending threat; many high profile people were either banned from, or warned not to fly; and employees in lower Manhattan , and even school children, were warned not to go to work—all in the months, weeks, and even days prior to 9/11.
As if that's not enough, eerie similarities to the attacks on the towers in film, television and music had popped-up during the months leading up to that day. And let's not forget the slew of wartime movies that were shot, cut, scored, and ready to air in the immediate following months.
Intelligence failures? Vague threats? No forewarnings?? Check it out for yourself...
